Haven’t posted in a while…

March 2, 2008

A foot and a half of snow inspired me to create a website, start a blog, and revise the first three chapters of Summer Road a month ago. Since then I haven’t looked at the story once, haven’t blogged, and haven’t updated my website. I might need to make a schedule where I work on each of these things weekly because with track season starting last Monday I can’t imagine a lot of free time will open up in the next few months.

Hard to believe it’s March already! Seems like Spokane is finally ready for spring as most days have been in the mid-40s and the snow is slowly melting.

I organized some bookshelves today and cleared off a spot for my “To Read” pile…the pile gets bigger every week and I ridiculously just ordered another book from Amazon and made a desktop shortcut for an additional book that looked great. Book buying has become more of an obsession than shoe buying. Here is my current “To Read” list in no particular order:

  • The Innocent Man AND Playing for Pizza- John Grisham
  • Citizen Vance- Jess Walter
  • The Big House- George Howecolt
  • English as a Second Language- Megan Crane
  • Girls Poker Night AND Ask Again Later- Jill A. Davis
  • Silver Master- Jayne Castle
  • Romantically Challenged- Beth Orsoff

I’ll be lucky if I get through half of those before the summer (and that doesn’t count the other two books I started that are on my nightstand) but I really need to get reading. (Incidentally, I bought or borrowed most of those books during the aforementioned snow storm and I’m starting to wonder if that week off was really a blessing. :) )
